Why my account is suspended?

  • Updated
Your Qonto account may have limited features for various security and regulatory compliance reasons. First of all, check your email (including spam and promotions folders if you use Gmail) to see the specific communication we sent you.

Main reasons:

  • You did not complete the required data update within the set timeframe
  • Required documents are missing
  • Your business information is not up to date according to our policies
  • You did not complete the identity verification within the communicated timeframe

How do I proceed with the update?

If you received an email about updating your data, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Qonto web app
  2. Complete the Business profile section with your updated information
  3. Fill in the Typeform questionnaire that will be prompted to you automatically
  4. Check your email: if any documents are still missing, you will be asked via email which ones to send

If you received an email about identity verification, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Qonto web app
  2. Click the "Verify your identity" button in the banner

πŸ‘†To complete the process, please make sure you have your mobile phone with the Qonto app, a valid identity document, and your codice fiscale (Italian tax identification code) at hand.
To find out which identity documents are accepted by Qonto, check our dedicated FAQ: Which identity documents does Qonto require?

What happens if I don't complete the update?

If you do not complete the required update:
  • Your account will remain suspended
  • You will not be able to make debit transactions

I already submitted a request months ago β€” why are you asking again?

Following updates to our internal policies, we have strengthened our controls and are requesting additional information about our customers. This procedure is applied by all payment institutions and will only take a few minutes.
