What are Qonto add-ons and what do they include?

  • Updated

Qonto's core plans cover the essentials every business needs to manage its finances: getting paid, paying bills, and setting up your team 💪. Add-ons let you go further by layering advanced capabilities — automation, deeper organization, or tighter team controls — on top of what's already included in your plan. You only pay for what you need, and you can add or remove them as your business evolves.

Three add-ons are available, covering Accounts Receivable and team spend management. They are accessible on 💻 web and 📱 mobile, and available to Owners and Admins on any Qonto plan.

☝️ The Team Spend Control add-on requires a minimum of an Essential+ plan.

What does Invoice Automation include?

Invoice Automation is designed for businesses that send invoices regularly and want to reduce the manual work involved in chasing payments and getting quotes approved.

It includes the following features:

  • Recurring invoices: Set up an invoice once for a repeat client and Qonto sends it automatically on the schedule you choose. This removes the need to recreate the same invoice every month for retainer or subscription clients.
  • Automated payment reminders: Qonto follows up with clients on your behalf when a payment is overdue, based on rules you configure. You no longer need to send manual follow-up messages to chase outstanding payments.
  • Quotes with built-in e-signature: Clients can review and sign a quote directly, removing the need to print, scan, or manage signatures separately. You can move from a quote to a signed agreement faster.

Invoice Automation works well for businesses that bill the same clients on a recurring basis — such as retainers, subscriptions, or memberships — or that send a high volume of invoices and want to reduce time spent on admin.

What does Project Tracking include?

Project Tracking is designed for businesses running multiple client accounts or projects at once, where keeping track of each one's status, documents, and profitability requires more than manually cross-referencing invoices and quotes.

It includes the following features:

  • Client portal: Give each client a single place to view all their quotes, invoices, and payment status, so they can self-serve instead of asking you to resend documents.
  • Organize by project or client: Group all quotes, invoices, and payments under the relevant project or client account, so you can track the progress of each engagement without searching across multiple documents.
  • Margin tracking per project: Monitor your margin on each project as it develops, so you can identify underbilling or overspend before it affects your profitability.

Project Tracking works well for agencies, consultancies, and any project-based or client-based business that needs to track financial status and profitability across multiple engagements at once.

What does Team Spend Control include?

Team Spend Control is designed for businesses where multiple people are spending or approving payments on the company's behalf, and where informal, ad-hoc approvals are no longer enough to ensure consistent policy enforcement.

This add-on applies across both Accounts Payable (supplier bills) and Expense & Spend Management (team spend), so you only need it once even if you use both. It requires a minimum of an Essential+ plan.

It includes the following features:

  • Advanced manager role & permissions: Give managers more granular control over what their team can do, so you can delegate oversight without giving full account access.
  • Approval workflows for transfers, expense reports, and supplier invoices: Route requests to the right approver automatically based on rules you configure — by amount, requester, or supplier. Payments cannot proceed without going through the correct approval path.
  • 4-eyes validation: Require a second person to validate sensitive payments before money moves, so no single person can approve and execute a high-risk transaction alone.
  • Advanced card settings: Set spending limits by day, category, or amount on team cards, so spend stays within policy automatically rather than being caught after the fact.
  • Auto-block cards for missing receipts: Cards are automatically blocked if a receipt has not been submitted, so you stop manually chasing team members for documentation.
  • HRIS integration: Sync your HR system with Qonto so that when someone joins, leaves, or changes role, their access and permissions update automatically.

Team Spend Control works well for teams that have grown past informal approvals and need consistent, enforceable spend policies — particularly once multiple people are spending or approving payments on the company's behalf.

Can I combine multiple add-ons?

Yes — add-ons are independent of each other, and you can activate any combination depending on your business needs. For example, an agency might use both Invoice Automation and Project Tracking, while a growing team might activate Team Spend Control without needing either Accounts Receivable add-on.

Each add-on is billed separately and can be added or removed at any time from your account settings.
