Using Account Remuneration is straightforward: activate it, maintain regular payment activity and understand the limits of your balance. Your funds remain available and protected just as with any Qonto payment account.

How can I activate and access Account Remuneration?
How do I activate remuneration?
Activating remuneration is simple: just read the Terms and Conditions and tick the box in your account settings to confirm your consent and tax residency. No additional contracts or paper documents are required.
- 💻 To access it from the web app: go to Business account > Accounts.
- 📱 From your mobile app: go to Menu > Accounts.
If you don't see the option yet, check that you have an eligible plan (Smart or above, subscribed from 1 October 2024). You can change your plan independently from the Settings > Plan and billing section of your app.
Note: you can deactivate remuneration at any time from the details page. If you meet the eligibility conditions, you will be able to reactivate it later. Please note that this will reset the transaction count required for the current month.
Where can I find my remuneration details?
From the Accounts section (web and mobile) you can view, for example:
- your previous remuneration payment transactions
- your current rate and the remunerated balance cap
- your estimated earnings for the current year
- the Qonto accounts included in the calculation
Note: Admin, Owner and Accountant roles can view the information, although only Admin and Owner can activate or deactivate it.
Can I access or withdraw my funds at any time?
Yes: your funds remain fully available. Nothing changes compared to the normal use of your account for payments.
What are the limits and requirements for Account Remuneration?
What is the minimum amount I need to maintain?
A minimum of €1 on your account is required, but no specific minimum balance beyond this is needed.
Is there a maximum cap on the balance taken into account?
Yes: the remunerated balance cap varies depending on your plan.

Balances above these caps will not generate remuneration.
What do I need to do to receive remuneration?
You must complete at least 5 eligible transactions per month (minimum amount of €1 per transaction) across all your internal accounts. The transactions must be settled within the month.

Note: in the first month you activate remuneration, you must complete the five required transactions after activation and before the end of the month in order to earn remuneration the following month.
How is my money protected when using Account Remuneration?
Is my money safe?
Yes: your funds are safeguarded in accordance with Payment Institution regulations. Client funds are protected through segregated accounts held with our partner banks Arkéa and Natixis.
Are my funds protected or insured?
Your funds benefit from the same protection as all Qonto payment accounts. As a Payment Institution, Qonto safeguards client funds in segregated accounts with established banking partners, ensuring that your money is protected in accordance with European regulations.
