What discounts are available for large transfers?
The following volume-based discounts apply :
- 10% off for transfers between €50k-€100k
- 20% off for transfers between €100k-€200k
- 40% off for transfers between €200k-€500k
- 50% off for transfers over €500k
What are the fees for sending international transfers (SWIFT-OUT)?
For standard currencies (USD, GBP, CHF), fees range from 0.56% to 0.8% per transfer with a €5 minimum.
For USD Swift transfers to non-US countries, you can choose between two pricing options: the SHA (shared costs) option, which costs 0.56% to 0,80% of the transfer amount plus a €5 fixed fee, or the OUR option (where the sender covers all costs), which costs 0.80% of the transfer amount plus a €15 fixed fee.
For non-standard currencies, fees range from 1.56% to 1.8%, depending on your plan.
Which plan offers the best rates for international transfers?
Premium, Essential, Business, and Enterprise plans offer the lowest rates at 0.56% for standard currencies and 1.56% for non-standard currencies. Basic and Smart plans have rates of 0.8% and 1.8% respectively.
Which currencies are considered "standard" at Qonto?
USD, GBP, and CHF are considered standard currencies. Other supported currencies (including INR, AED, CAD, ILS, HKD, TRY, THB, and more) are classified as non-standard.
How are exchange rates calculated for international transfers?
Exchange rates include the market rate plus a transparent conversion fee. Qonto commits to being transparent about these fees as part of our values.
What information do I need for an international transfer?
You'll need the recipient's:
- Full name or company name
- Complete bank account details (IBAN)
- Bank's SWIFT/BIC code
- Bank's address
- Purpose of payment (in some cases)
Are there any fixed fees in addition to the percentage-based fees?
Yes, there is a minimum fee of €5 (excluding VAT) that applies when the percentage-based fee would be lower than this amount. For Swift transfers, there is a fixed fee plus a percentage of the transfer amount. Even if the percentage-based fee exceeds €5, you will only be charged the fixed fee plus the percentage.
Do weekend transfers have different rates?
No, Qonto maintains the same rates throughout the week, unlike some competitors who charge higher fees for weekend transfers.
How long do international transfers take to process?
Most transfers are completed within 1-3 business days, depending on the destination country and currency.
