In Italy, RiBa (ricevuta bancaria) is one of the most common tools for B2B payment collection. Now, you can pay your suppliers by RiBa using your Qonto account.
π‘ Currently, you can only pay your incoming RiBa requests to your providers (passive RiBa).
How to receive a RiBa request at Qonto?
To receive a RiBa payment at Qonto, share your Qonto banking details, including the ABI and CAB codes, with your provider. You can find your ABI and CAB codes here What is an IBAN?β
How can I pay a RiBa?
Simply approve a RiBa payment request on the desktop version of the app, and the payment will be debited from your account on the due date.
You'll receive an email notification for any new RiBa request. To accept or reject it:
- From Business account, navigate to the RiBa section and go to the Tasks tab. There, you'll find all pending requests awaiting your confirmation
- To approve a payment, click the approve button, or select multiple pending payments to approve them in one bulk action
- Use your paired device or complete SCA to finalize the process
At 10:00 AM on a due date, we will debit your account for approved RiBa payments.
If you donβt have sufficient funds to cover a scheduled RiBa payment the day before the payment date, we will send you a reminder to top-up the account π
π‘ Only users with roles Admin and Owner with a configured SCA can approve or reject a RiBa payment.
How can I monitor my RiBa payments?
To view the status and details of an approved payment:
- From Business account, go to the RiBa section and select the Processing tab. All payments that have been approved but haven't yet reached their due date will be listed there
- You can open the payment details to check which bank account will be used for each specific payment
Can I reject a payment that was already approved?
Yes, simply open the detailed view of a scheduled RiBa payment on your desktop or mobile app and click Reject Request.
π If you reject a RiBa payment by mistake, you have until the due date to change your mind. You can make changes to your upcoming payments up until 10:00 on a due date.
Where can I see the Proof of Payment?
The proof of payment is available in the RiBa domain and in the list of transactions, accessible on both the desktop and mobile app versions. You can download the file from the detailed view of the transaction after the payment is debited.
Can I approve a RiBa payment on Mobile?
Currently, you can approve or reject a new RiBa request only using the desktop version of the app. Use your mobile app to track approved and completed RiBa payments, and to download the proof of payment. On mobile, you can also reject a payment that has already been scheduled.
Does RiBa have a cost for me?
Pay by RiBa is completely free of charge until 02/06/2025. Once the promotional period ends, a standard fee of 0.60β¬ will be charged for every completed RiBa payment.
