In Italy, RiBa (bank receipt) is one of the most common instruments for collecting B2B payments. Now you can pay your suppliers via RiBa using your Qonto account.
💡 Currently, it is only possible to pay incoming RiBa requests to your suppliers (passive RiBa).
How to receive a RiBa request on Qonto?
To receive a RiBa payment on Qonto, share your Qonto bank details, including ABI and CAB codes, with your supplier. You can find your ABI and CAB codes here: What is an IBAN?
How can I pay a RiBa?
You can approve a RiBa payment request from both the desktop version and the mobile app. The payment will be debited from your account on the due date.
You will receive an email and push notification for each new RiBa request and for each of the following reminders:
- 7 days before the due date
- 2 days before the due date
- 1 day before the due date
Reminders stop automatically as soon as you approve or reject the request. If you have multiple RiBas due on the same day, you will receive a single grouped notification. All notifications indicate the required action, the due date, and the consequences in case of no action. By tapping the notification, you will be redirected directly to the specific RiBa request.
You will also receive an email and notification upon completion or rejection of the payment.
💻 To accept or reject a request from desktop:
- From Business account, access the RiBa section and go to the To do tab. There you will find all requests pending confirmation
- To approve a payment, click the approve button or select multiple pending payments to approve them in a single action
- Use the associated device or SCA to complete the process
📱To accept or reject a request from mobile:

At 10:00 AM on the due date, we will debit the approved RiBa payments from your account.
If the day before the payment date you do not have sufficient funds to cover a scheduled RiBa payment, we will send you a reminder to top up your account 😉
💡 Only users with Admin and Owner roles with SCA configured can approve or reject a RiBa payment.
