Some traditional banks use outdated IBAN databases. When you try to make a transfer to your Qonto account, you may see an error saying that your IBAN (or BIC/SWIFT) is not valid.
What should I do first?
- Try entering your BIC without the final three “X” (e.g., QNTOFRP1)
- If the error persists, contact the other bank’s support team and ask them to add your Qonto IBAN to their database
What if it still doesn’t work?
We’ll help you find a solution. Ask to speak with an agent via the chat bubble (web or mobile) and share:
- What you tried to do + the exact error message (a screenshot helps)
- The name of the bank involved
- The IBAN or account number of the issuer’s account
- The transfer details: time, reference, and amount
