You will receive an email to notify you at the address you use to log in to your Qonto account. All information related to the closure are in this email, our support will not be able to provide any more information on the matter.
What is the notice period to be observed?
For professional payment accounts, the notice period to be observed is 30 days from the receipt of a closure notification (Article L314-5 of the Monetary and Financial Code).
The duration of your notice period may vary depending on the reason for closure, ranging from 30 to 90 days depending on the situation.
Here are some examples:

Deregistration: 60 days

Overdrawn account: 30 days

Judicial reorganization with an administrator: 30 days

Management conflict: 30 days (following 7 days of mediation)
What happens if I do not settle my account before the end of the notice period?
If your balance is greater than €0 after the notice period expires, please contact our customer support with a SEPA zone RIB in PDF format in the name of your company.
In the case of closing your account due to the deregistration of your company, you can exceptionally provide us with a personal or professional RIB.
After verification by our services, the balance of your account will be transferred to you within 2 business days.
⚠️ If your balance is greater than €0, your account will be suspended, and any applicable fees will continue to be charged.
What to do after receiving a closure notification?

Depending on your situation, here are the steps you can take:
Open a new account.
If you do not already have another professional account for your company, open a professional account with another institution as soon as possible.

Retrieve your useful information.
1. Export your transactions
Retrieve an export of your transactions and any supporting documents that may assist you with your accounting.
2. Retrieve your Qonto invoices.

Go to the Settings & Tools section of your Qonto web interface.

Then, go to Account Settings.

Click on the Qonto Invoices section.

Select the invoices you want to download.
3. Transmit your new IBAN.

Transmit your new IBAN to your clients: you can find the list of your issuers on your Qonto interface in the Business Account > History tab. Then, filter the transactions: When, Amount, is greater than, €0.

Transmit your new IBAN to organizations that make direct debits from your account: you can find the organizations that make direct debits from your account by going to the Business Account > Direct Debits tab.
NB: After closing your account, you will still have access to Qonto to review and export your historical data.
Settle your Qonto account.
Bring the balance of your account to €0 before the end of your notice period.

Does Qonto have the right to close my account?
Qonto reserves the right to terminate the contract that binds us and, thus, close certain accounts: Article 9.1.2. Termination at the initiative of the Institution.
